The "drill" was in fact a cover used to confuse NORAD so the jets would hit their targets.

It also came out almost a year after the attacks that, In the two years before the September 11th attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties." The World Trade Center and the Pentagon were among the imagined targets in those drills. Remember when president Bush said in a televised statement in 2004 "Nobody in our government, at least, and I don't think the prior government could envision flying airplanes into buildings on such a massive scale."
A straight faced lie. Not only did the DOD (Department of Defense) envision the attacks, but such drills were actually carried out in the exact scenarios in the months and years prior to the attacks. These things are all out in the open even in mainstream news articles yet it is still politically incorrect to state the fact that 9/11 was an inside job.
